Iran Press/ Iran news: A press conference on the detention of the US-jailed Iranian stem-cell scientist, Masoud Soleimani was staged on Tuesday at Press TV headquarter in Tehran.
The conference was attended by the family members and colleagues of the Iranian Stem cell scientist Masoud Soliemani as well as the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) World Service and several media representatives.
Masoud Soleimani, Biology Professor at Tarbiat Modares University has been detained in the United States by the FBI, since October 7, 2018, and has not been charged yet.
He was invited by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to lead a research program. Upon his arrival in the United States, he was arrested and transferred to a prison in Atlanta. He has been incarcerated there since then and is imprisoned along with common criminals.

American authorities have put in jail the hematology researcher without providing any evidence against him.
Professor Soleimani has spent about twelve months in an Atlanta jail, while has no criminal activity anywhere in the world.
Unfortunately, Professor Soleimani suffers from Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and he doesn't have access to his medicine in jail. Moreover, as a result of unjust conditions in jail, his sight has been affected and even he does not have access to his glasses in jail.
Yaghoub Fathollahi, deputy head of Tarbiat Modarres University and a colleague friend of the detained scientist stressed the illegal detention of Masoud Soleimani, saying that the US Jailed the Iranian scientist without any reasonable charge.

Soleimani's wife also said that the US has detained Masoud for the sake of its benefits. She went on to say: "The US has violated human rights, while it shows off to observe it in the world."
Soleimani's friends and family members appreciated Iran's foreign ministry significant efforts over his freedom.
Pyman Jebeli, the head of Press TV and IRIB world service also said that Press TV has produced a documentary on why the US has imprisoned Iranian scientific figures and investigates the arrest of Dr. Massoud Soleimani.
He added that Press TV is going to broadcast live programs in this regard as well.
