Iran Press/ Iran news: Nesser Kanaani said on Friday that the Western countries had better review their stances and performances during the past two years' negotiations for the removal of sanctions on Iran and see the results of their non-constructive policies.
Kanaani made the comments in reaction to the joint statement of the United States and three European countries on the nuclear program of Iran and the 60% enrichment of uranium in the country.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) claimed in a new report on Tuesday that Iran has abandoned the policy of reducing the production of its 60% uranium and has increased.
Enrichment at a 60% level in Iran's facilities has always been and will continue in accordance with the peaceful needs of the country and under the full supervision of the IAEA, Kanaani noted.
He referred to the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement (JCPOA) with Iran and the Europeans' refusal of commitment to the international deal and said that the US and three European countries (UK, Germany, France) are not in a position to comment about Iran's nuclear program.
Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, to lift the West's sanctions on Iran, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
The Iranian MFA spokesman recalled that experiences have proven that unilateral demands will be of no benefit to correct the wrong steps of Western countries.
