Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh, in response to the US Treasury Department's move to include four Iranian nationals on the US sanctions list on trumped-up charges, said: "Current US officials are following in the footsteps of the previous administration."
Khatibzadeh added: "Supporters and businessmen of sanctions in the United States have seen their sanctions toolbox empty due to Iran's maximum resistance, and this time, by resorting to Hollywood scenarios, they are trying to keep the sanctioned atmosphere alive."
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "Washington knows that it has no choice but to abandon its sanctions addiction and respect Tehran."
The US Treasury Department has placed four Iranians on the sanctions list on the pretext of "attempting to abduct an Iranian-American activist" based on unsubstantiated allegations.
