Iran Press/ Iran news: According to the Iran Press news agency, "Ali Akbar Velayati", the senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, in a meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, expressed his satisfaction with the process of expanding Tehran-Damascus cooperation and activities, and added: "The resistance front has been able to neutralize the conspiracies of the enemies and their sinister goals by uniting and being together, and has achieved many victories, and undoubtedly, it will achieve more successes after this."
Velayati stated: "Syria is a symbol of resistance and the role of the Syrian president has been decisive and has contributed to the dignity of the Syrian Arab Republic against the invasion of the Zionists and their supporters under the leadership of the United States".
Faisal Mekdad also appreciated the firm positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting Syria and the resistance front and said: "Despite all the challenges and problems, the Syrian nation and government, blessed by friendship with the Islamic Republic of Iran, continue to resist terrorists and foreign forces."
"Faisal Meqkad", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, has traveled to Tehran at the head of a delegation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has strategic cooperation with Syria, and Tehran's support for the legitimate government in Syria during the Syrian crisis and helping the Assad government in the process of fighting various terrorist groups is proof of this.
The relations between Syria and Iran after the defeat of the ISIS terrorist outfit have now expanded and diversified, and there are clear prospects for the development of these relations in all fields.
