Iran Press/ Iran News: Ali Asghar Mounesan on Monday evening at the opening ceremony of Sa'adi Cultural Center in Shiraz, referring to the government's efforts in three areas of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts, said that despite special economic conditions, projects worth 160,000 billion tomans are underway in tourism, of which 22,000 billion tomans have been put into operation.
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Iran stated that according to the investment trend in the field of hotel construction, 670 hotels are being built in the country.
"One of the achievements in the field of tourism is the diversity of tourism products, which used to be mostly in the cultural and historical spheres, but now tourism has expanded to other historical, cultural, natural, and agricultural spheres," Mounesan said.
Shiraz is one of the most important tourist destinations in the south of Iran and with its various historical and literary tourist attractions, it is of interest to domestic and foreign tourists.
