US uses aircraft to ferry narcotics from Afghanistan

Secretary-general of Iran's anti-narcotics headquarters on Monday said that NATO and US aircraft ferry narcotics from Afghanistan.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in a meeting attended by deputies and general managers of the anti-narcotics headquarters via videoconference, Eskandar Momeni stressed: "In 2000, the total production of Afghanistan was about 200 tons, but in 2017, it reached more than 10,000 tons, which means 50 times more. Now, we know that the US aircraft are involved in drug trafficking from Afghanistan."

Momeni added: "There is credible news that NATO aircraft are also assisting in the transportation and trafficking of narcotics and the cultivation of narcotics in Afghanistan."

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States and NATO were involved in drug trafficking and heroin trafficking from Afghanistan to other countries and that the United States and NATO were using their troops to protect the cultivation, production, and trafficking of heroin from Afghanistan to other countries.
