Aََmerica/ According to an Iran Press report, US state department on Wednesday claimed Iran supports terrorism in the Middle East region. The state department report also made another baseless claim, accusing Iran of meddling in the internal affairs of Arab countries, particularly Bahrain. The state department report also described the Lebanese Islamic resistance movement, Hezbollah, and various Palestinian resistance groups as 'terrorist' organisations.
The Trump administration is vehemently anti-Islamic and anti-Iranian , and has no qualms whatsoever about spreading outright lies and misinformation about Iran, and falsely accusing Iran when it knows very well that its accusations are totally untrue.
It is particularly brazen and immoral of the Trump administration to accuse Iran of destabilising other countries and supporting Terrorism, when the entire world knows the Americans supported, funded and armed Terrorist groups such as ISIS (also known as Daesh), al-Nusra Front, Free Syrian Army, etc. who destabilised Iraq and Syria, and tried to bring down the legal governments of both countries, causing havoc and destruction on a huge scale.
Stephen Walt, a professor of international relations at Harvard University, commenting on the state department report said: "A brief look at US policies in the Middle East shows that decreasing US influence in the region is actually a good thing, since wherever the Americans have set foot in the Middle East, we see violence, extremism and dictatorship."
