President Raisi :

Tehran (IP)- Before departing to Riyadh and participating in the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the President of Iran said that America is today an obstacle to the ceasefire in the Gaza war and the main supporter of Israel in killing the people of Palestine.

Iran PressIran news:  At the beginning of his statement regarding the purpose of the trip to Riyadh, Ebrahim Raisi said: "The trip is done at the invitation of the head of OIC or the Islamic Conference, the honorable king of Saudi Arabia. The agenda of the meeting is the issue of Palestine. Almost a month ago we had called for holding the meeting, that is, it was a few days after October 7."

In another part of his statement, he considered what is happening in Gaza to be very important and a perfect example of a war crime and said: "If these crimes that are being committed in Gaza today are not crimes against humanity, then what is a crime against humanity?"

Raisi added: "Americans say that they want the war not to expand, but their statements are hypocritical. Their words are not the same as actions. The war machine, which is committing crimes in Gaza, was fueled by the Americans."

The President further added: "What prevented the Egypt meeting and the UN meeting from concluding were the Americans. They also refused to cease fire. Americans are the cause of all these corruptions and the world should know their real face."

In the end, he said : "Today we have to act, talk is enough. Muslims expect action from their leaders. The quick stop of the bombings and the opening of aid to Palestine should be OIC's main goal, and these organizations were formed to solve the Palestinian issue."

Saudi Arabia will host emergency meetings of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

57 heads of state from OIC countries will attend the summit.

President Raisi's trip to Saudi Arabia will mark the first visit by an Iranian head of state to Saudi Arabia since Tehran and Riyadh restarted political relations under a China-brokered deal in March.
