The top commander of the Iranian Navy has said the seas and oceans of the region are safe, and US military forces must leave this region.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in Tehran Friday Prayer pre-sermons in commemoration of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy Day on November 28, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi warned the Americans by saying: "The era of theatrical naval armadas is over. The Americans must leave this region."

The top commander added: "Despite US sanctions, a new generation of Iranian-made weaponry will soon join the Iranian Navy, including the Simorgh drone (unmanned aerial vehicle)."

Dena destroyer to be unveiled this February

Referring to the unveiling of the Dena destroyer in February, the Navy Commander said that with the construction of racket launcher warships and the construction of Moudge-class destroyers such as Jamaran, Damavand, and Sahand, Iran has entered the field of naval combat.

Admiral Hossein Khanzadi added that the Navy has been very successful in the course of the forty-year-long first step of the revolution, which has guaranteed the security and fulfillment of the ideals of the revolution.

He went on to say that Iran has fought piracy and maritime terrorism to secure the country's economy in the northern Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea and all the world's high seas, and the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran's merchant fleet was established at sea.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy Commander highlighted that domestic equipment such as missiles, which can be launched from deep-sea submarines to deal with the enemy, was built in the country.

Iran forces the enemy to keep its distance

Khanzadi stated that all Islamic Republic's naval equipment forced the enemy to keep its distance from the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran so that now the enemy's fleet and its expensive equipment are more than 300 miles (700 kilometers) away from Iran's borders.

He said that the construction of submarines as one of the most sophisticated technologies in the world is on Iran's agenda.

"We built Ghadir-class submarines, relying on native knowledge in the Navy and the Ministry of Defense and armed them with native torpedoes that could target enemy ships," Khanzadi added.

"Fateh (Conqueror) submarine, a new generation of mid-class submarines, was added to the Navy last year," the senior military official continued.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rear Admiral Khanzadi said: "The Iranian Navy is the flag-bearer of a movement towards a sea-centered civilization, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is moving in this direction."
