Protests in Iraq started in the capital and then spread to other cities

Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament for International Affairs slammed the US and its allies for trying to create insecurity in Iraq.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in his Twitter account slammed the United States and its allies for seeking to create insecurity and instability in Iraq, Iran Press reported.

He wrote in a Twitter message: "The US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia seek to create insecurity and instability, overthrow the elected government, and pave the way for foreign intervention by abusing the real demands of the Iraqi people and using Baathists and infiltrators. The solution is to pay close attention to people's livelihood demands and the immediate withdrawal of US troops."

In recent days, Iraqi people have protested the inadequate public service situation, the lack of job opportunities and corruption in the country.

After the demonstrations, Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi announced a series of political reforms in the government and made promises to the Iraqi people.
