Iran Press/ Middle East: According to Al Manar, Hezbollah's Lebanese media outlet, Hassan Fazlullah, a member of the "Loyalty to Resistance" faction in parliament, referred to the new US involvement in the removal and installation of the Central Bank of Lebanon's officials, calling it a violation of Lebanon's national sovereignty.
This Lebanese member of parliament said the new US ambassador to Lebonan, Dorothy Shea, recently met with Lebanese officials and has announced her country's candidate for the post of Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon.
While condemning the US intervention, Fazlullah called on the government of Prime Minister Hassan Diab to deal with the issue, which is a violation of national sovereignty.
In late March, the Lebanese foreign minister summoned the US ambassador to Beirut following Donald Trump's acknowledgment of the escape of Zionist mercenary and torturer Amer Al-Fakhoury from the US embassy in Beirut.
At the same time, Lebanese media sources reported that a military court had ordered the release of the Zionist mercenary under pressure from the United States and its embassy to Lebanon.
Lebanese Hezbollah blamed the release of that criminal on US pressure and called on the judiciary not to succumb to foreign pressure and reconsider its decision.
The United States has always tried to interfere in Lebanon's internal affairs with various tools and to put pressure on resistance groups in the country, especially Hezbollah, and in recent months, due to Lebanon's inability to repay its debts to the World Bank has sought to exploit the international body as a tool to exert economic and political pressure on the Lebanese people and government.
In the same vein, Trump's administration has sanctioned a number of members of the movement by placing Hezbollah on its list of terrorist groups.
