Iran Press/ Iran News: "The US had announced that it intends to form an Arab front against Iran, but today the opposite was resulted; the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia was concluded and other countries are also waiting for signing agreement with Iran," said Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami on Friday, April 7.
Iranian and Saudi officials have been in close contact to follow up on the Beijing agreement. A little more than a week after the March 10 agreement, the Saudi king sent a letter to President Raisi in which he welcomed the agreement and invited Raisi to visit Riyadh. He also called for strong economic and regional cooperation.
Ayatollah Khatami referred to Latin America as the US' backyard and noted that any government that takes power there indicates that the people cast their vote for anti-US candidates, which shows that the US has failed to achieve its goals in the Latin American countries.
He also pointed to the current crises the Israeli regime is coping with the occupied territories and said that the Israeli settlers are protesting against their rulers as they chant slogans against them.
As with yesterday's rocket attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine, Ayatollah Khatami said: "Israel developed the Iron Dome defense system yet a hundred rockets were fired at the Zionist regimes' positions and the dome could just intercept a few numbers of them."
He highlighted then the International Quds Day as the symbol of the Islamic Ummah's life and said that the people will more elegantly participate in the Quds Day rally as their presence will much more undermine the Israeli regime.
Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, had declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day to survive the fundamental issue of Palestine and declare the solidarity of Muslims with the Palestinians and mobilize forces to save Holy Quds from Israel's occupation.
