Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said, the reason for US accusation against Iran is to cover up its failure to achieve plans against the will of Iranian people.

Iran PressIran news: In response to recent harsh statements by the US president and his national security adviser, Bahram Ghassmi added such comments, the false accusations and dreams that have recently been raised in the words of US officials, especially Donald Trump and some of his advisers, are the result of the successive failures that Americans have faced in recent months.

He also said, what the world saw at the recent summit of the UN General Assembly and Security Council meetings was an isolation of US and it's unilateralism, according to Iran press.

Ghassemi underlined, from the contents of the remarks of Trump and John Bolton, we can observe the footsteps of the warlords and the lobby of some regimes in the region.

Earlier in the day, Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said, the Trump administration’s approach to Iran is the most “spiteful” of any US government in 40 years.

Speaking at Tehran university on Sunday morning, Rouhani added, US wanted regime change in Iran and is using psychological and economic warfare to try and destroy the Islamic Republic.

Trump administration unveiled a new counter-terrorism strategy last week to enhance American National Security and guide its efforts to defeat terrorists and terrorist organizations.

The strategy brands the nuclear deal, known as JCPOA as “horrible” and claims it “had provided a windfall for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its proxies activities.”

US national security adviser, John Bolton outlined the administration’s long-awaited counterterrorism strategy on Thursday and offered harsh words for Iran.

John Bolton called Iran the “central banker of international terrorism.” He said the strategy will rely on military and nonmilitary means to fight extremists, focusing on Daesh militants as well as those backed by Iran and other groups.

These accusation comes as the US has in recent years attempted to use the terrorist groups, specially the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), to create insecurity in Iran.

According to documents released by al-Monitor news website, the US Public Financial Disclosure Report in January 2018 for Bolton indicated that he has received $40,000 from the MKO as speaking fee in Paris gathering.

Bolton had in the same date attended the MKO gathering in Paris, stressing during his address that the Islamic Republic should not be allowed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Revolution in Iran.

During his address, he said that US President Donald Trump is fully opposed to the "regime in Tehran".

After announcing the United States' withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in May—against the advice of several world leaders and the wishes of 63 percent of the American public—Trump reimposed sanctions on Iran, banning the country's purchasing of US banknotes and precious metals as well as airplane and auto parts.
