Iran Press/ America: On Sunday at 11:58 a.m., police arrived at a house in Syosset, New York, after they received reports of shots fired, according to the Nassau County Police Department. They discovered a man outside the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Police say Joseph DeLucia Jr., 59, lived in the home with his mother, who recently died. According to police, Delucia may have been upset by the circumstances surrounding the sale of the house.
On Monday, police say DeLucia killed four family members before killing himself.
Police identified the family members as Joann Kearns, 69, Frank DeLucia, 64, Tina Hammond, 64 and Victoria Hammond, 30.
Thousands of people lose their lives or are wounded by gunshot attacks in the US yearly. Based on official statistics, there are around 270 to 300 million guns, which is almost one gun for every American.
