Iran Press/Europe: Uranium enrichment is an undeniable right of all members of the NPT(Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons), Permanent Representative to Int'l Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said in a tweet in reaction to US officials saying Iran should not have the right to enrich uranium, Iran Press reported.
Arguing that Americans have forgotten the NPT treaty articles, Ulyanov added: "This legal nihilism (or ignorance ) is detrimental to the integrity of the nuclear non- proliferation regime."
Contrary to international law and provisions agreed in the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) deal, US officials recently have said in an announcement that Iran has no uranium enrichment right at all levels.
In reaction, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on July 19 that US president's recent 'Zero-Enrichment' negotiating position was a repeat of the mistakes of Donald Trump's predecessors, which led Iran to increase the level of nuclear enrichment.
