IP- Al-Fakhoora school in Jabalia refugee camp, Gaza, where many displaced people are sheltering was targeted by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

Iran Press/ West Asia: The school is run by the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

Al-Fakhoora school is the largest in the north, located inside the Jabalia refugee camp.

Many have been brought to the hospital and there are fears the number could be in the dozens.

The school was hosting thousands of people who had fled airstrikes from different parts of the north of Gaza.

The refugee camp has been hit three times in the past days – but this is not the only huge bombardment that happened this morning.

Another strike took place in a central neighborhood in Gaza City. It was a very densely populated area which has now been destroyed. People there are still trying to search for those under the rubble.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have taken shelter in facilities run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, but the sites are continuously coming under attack.

Since the start of the war on October 7, nearly 50 buildings and assets of the agency have been affected, with some being directly hit. These include buildings used as shelters where the agency is hosting about 700,000 people. Twenty-five of these shelters are in northern Gaza, hosting 112,000 people.

Earlier this week, four UNRWA shelters were damaged in 24 hours.

At least 72 UNRWA staff have been killed since the war began, often with their families.

About 40,000 people are taking shelter inside al-Shifa Hospital, but as hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches are targeted, people are waiting for an Israeli strike at any time.

Israel’s heavy bombardment of Gaza intensified, targeting schools, shelters, hospital areas, and ambulances.

Al-Shifa Hospital was targeted on Friday.

The Israeli army has bombed two mosques in southern Gaza City in the last few hours, an Anadolu correspondent has reported.

The attacks destroyed the Ali bin Abi Talib and the Al-Istijabah mosques in the al-Sabra neighborhood.

Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan reporting from Hebron said the Israeli flag was raised on the minaret of a mosque in the al-Fawwar refugee camp.

Separately, Al-Aqsa TV said on Telegram that the Israeli army also bombed a mosque at the center of the densely populated Sabra neighborhood in western Gaza.
