Geneva (IP) - The Islamic Republic of Iran held an exhibition below the UN Human Rights Council of “Iranian Women’s Clothes Design.”

Iran PressAmerica: The exhibition on Iranian Women's Clothes Design was opened with the presence of the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UN Geneva), the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations in Geneva, and a group of officials, and those interested in Iranian art and culture.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, appreciated the Permanent Representative of Iran in Geneva for presenting Iranian art at the United Nations and admiring authentic Iranian art. 

Valovaya described the Iranian female designers of the exhibition as a manifestation of women's decency which represents the art and abilities of Iranian women.  

Pointing to the record of Iranian women's descent clothing, Ali Bahreini, Iranian Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, said that Iranian female dress features modesty, creativity, and beauty.

Bahreini emphasized preserving the cultural identity of Iranian women.

He termed the exhibition a step toward artistic diplomacy that bolstered cultural ties between the world's countries.

The exhibition is underway until tomorrow, Wednesday.
