Iran Press/Middle East: The UAE Foreign Ministry claimed that following the threats raised in the speech of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani on the sovereign decision of the UAE government and the threats made by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the IRGC and other Iranian officials repeatedly, the UAE Deputy Foreign Minister conveyed a message of strong protest to the Iranian charge d'affaires.
The UAE Foreign Ministry added: "Relations between countries, treaties and accords are a matter of sovereignty."
The UAE Foreign Ministry has also said that Iran is responsible for supporting the UAE's diplomatic headquarters and diplomats in Tehran.
In a Twitter message last Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced what he called a "historic agreement" between Israel and the UAE to fully normalize bilateral relations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also posted a message on social media calling the signing of the normalization agreement with the UAE "a historic step."
