Iran Press/Asia: Rajab Tayyip Erdogan, whose country is the Organization of Islamic Cooperation rotating president, in an address to the emergency meeting in Istanbul to review New Zealand's recent terrorist attack, said:" after the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is the biggest international body. The aim of this organization is to examine the most important issues of the Islamic world, and at the top of them is the Quds issue."
The Turkish president added: "As long as we do not express the truth, Western media will encourage Islamophobia."
Referring to the latest remarks made by US President Donald Trump about Syria's occupied Golan, Erdogan also said: "The remarks by the US president put the region on the brink of a new crisis."
The Turkish president added that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation cannot remain silent in this regard and accept it.
"Any issue that targets peace, the right to life and survival of Muslims is important to us and to the OIC," Erdogan said.
At least 52 people were killed and dozens injured in the horrific attack on Muslim prayers at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
