Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Ankara, Turkey to attend the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRIB.
Zarif described the recent terrorist attack in New Zealand as a dangerous and Islamophobic action led by the West, adding that "some Western institutions with silence or supporting this dangerous move are the accomplice in the crime."
Iran's foreign minister stated that the New Zealand incident was part of a process against the Muslims.
Zarif said the request of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Turkish Foreign Ministry immediately hosted an extraordinary summit of OIC foreign ministers to review the issue.
according to Zarif, at the meeting, which is also attended by the Foreign Minister of New Zealand, the foreign ministers of the OIC member states intend to take the necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such incidents, in addition to the condemnation of the crime.
The extraordinary one-day summit of OIC foreign ministers will be held today in Istanbul, Turkey, to discuss the recent terrorist attack in New Zealand.
