Iran Press/ Iran news: "The written poems are just historically valuable to understand the past, but not in the case of literature," he noted.
Turks liked Shahnameh and translated it into Turkish in the 10th century by Sharif al-Din Sharifi from Diyar Bakr.
Shahnameh had been numerously translated into Turkish. During the modern Türkiye era, for the first time, Nejat Logan, from Dar ul-Funun in Istanbul and Ankara, translated the Shahnameh into Turkish and it was published in four volumes.
Lately, Dr. Nemat Yıldırım from Atatürk University, Erzroom, Türkiye translated Shahnameh into the modern Turkish language, which gained fame among Turkish readers.
"Works of other great Persian poets such as Saadi Shirazi, Hafez, and Mawlānā were also translated. I have translated Saadi's Bustan and Gulistan. And I am translating Hafez and Maulana's Masnavi into Turkish." he added.
