Iran Press/Iran news: In a video address to the UN's 75th General Assembly on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump praised the US government for assassinating Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the late commander of the IRGC's Quds Force.
Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei, the Spokesman for the Guardian Council of Iran, stated on his Twitter page on Wednesday, referring to Trump's remark: "Confessing to the assassination of a country's official can not only be a source of pride but also requires a serious and impartial trial so that no one can commit a crime by making false allegations and resorting to state terrorism."
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, who traveled to Iraq on January 3 at the official invitation of Iraqi officials, was martyred in an airstrike by US terrorist forces near Baghdad airport in Iraq.
