In a misleading tweet on Saturday , U.S. President Donald Trump once again made a false claim about Iran's military budget, saying it had increased by more than 40 percent since the negotiation of the Iran nuclear deal in 2015. He further tweeted that the nuclear deal "was all a big lie".
Trump tweeted on Saturday: "Iran's Military Budget is up more than 40% since the Obama negotiated Nuclear Deal was reached...just another indicator that it was all a big lie. But not anymore!,"
The President made the same false claim in announcing his decision to pull the United States out of the Iran nuclear agreement last Tuesday -- an assertion that fact checkers have called either "false" or "exaggerated" and "lacking crucial context".
