Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism of Iran has said that entry to Iran from 12 countries is prohibited, and restrictions for incoming travelers from other 24 countries were increased.

Iran PressIran news: Vali Teymouri, Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Iran, said on Friday about the latest decisions taken for passengers between Iran and other countries: "Travel to Iran from Botswana, Brazil, Eswatini, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, South Africa, Uruguay, Zambia, and Zimbabwe is prohibited."

Teymouri stated: "The arrival of diplomats and representatives of international organizations is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran following health protocols."

The Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Iran said: In addition to the negative PCR coronavirus test at the origin (with a deadline of 96 hours), incoming travelers from high-risk countries need to be re-examined (PCR test) upon arrival.
