Iran Press/ Iran news: Alireza Moghadasi, the head of Iran's customs, said: more than 10 million and 228 thousand tons of goods made in other countries in the first ten months of this year in the Persian calendar (starting from March 20) transited through Iran, which has increased by 75% compared to the same period last year.
Moghaddasi added: "One of the government's main policies is to develop trade with neighbors and facilitate the transit of foreign trade through Iran."
The director-general of Iran's customs also added: "Transit has increased again this year and is expected to reach 12 million and 400 thousand tons by the end of the year."
Moghaddasi stressed: Iran is a corridor between the south-north and east-west, and establishing a corridor between Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey can increase the country's transit.
