The Israeli Army announced that the Top commander of the IDF's 401st Armored Brigade, Col. Ehsan Daqsa, was killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today in a fighting with Hamas fighters.

Iran Press/West Asia:  Reliable Israeli sources quoted by the Times of Israel stated that commanders from the Israeli army were caught in a mine ambush in northern Gaza. These sources added that resistance fighters from Hamas's Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades targeted one senior officer in northern Gaza.

The sources admitted that this successful ambush resulted in the deaths of four Israeli officers, including a colonel who serves as the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades had previously reported the capture of two Israeli soldiers in Block 2 of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.

Israeli media had previously indicated that the news would be shocking for the regime's leadership, stating that the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade was inside an armored personnel carrier in Jabalia, which resistance fighters had targeted with a bomb.
