Iran Press/America: A few days ago, the Spokesman of Iraq's Kata'ib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Battalions) Jafar al-Hosseini stated that efforts for expelling the US troops from the Iraqi soil is on-going and that the Resistance Forces are examining the necessary options to reach the goal.
Anti-US sentiments in Iraq have been intensified after a series of hostile US actions against the resistance axis, especially the cowardly assassination of the Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani, late Quds Force Commander and the Second-in-Command of Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis.
Iraqi parliamentarians on Sunday, January 5, approved a plan to expel the US troops from the Iraqi territory in the wake of the US cowardly assassination of martyred Lt. Gen Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis at the Baghdad airport.
General Soleimani was martyred along with Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis and a number of his comrades in the early hours of Friday, January 3, 2020, during an airstrike by US terrorists near the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
Martyr Lt. Gen Soleimani traveled to Iraq at the invitation of the Iraqi government. Many countries, organizations, and groups have condemned the US terrorist act.
Lieutenant General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis were prominent figures in fighting against the Takfiri terrorist groups, including ISIS, in the West Asian region.
