Tehran (IP) - In an event marking the week of resistance and commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, Tehran University bestowed its prestigious statue upon the distinguished "Symbols of Resistance."

Iran PressIran news: The ceremony, held at the university hall, brought together notable figures from the realms of science, culture, and politics.

Among the attendees were Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ali Zulfi Gol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and a distinguished assembly of scientific and artistic luminaries.

The ceremony celebrated and acknowledged 20 eminent figures across various domains of resistance, encompassing military, defense, political, economic, cultural, and social spheres. The recipients of the Tehran University statue included prominent media, intellectual, and cultural activists who have left an indelible mark in the field of resistance.

Notable awardees encompassed Sheikh Isa Qasim from Bahrain, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah, Yahya Ibrahim Sanwar, the founder of Hamas, Martyr Abu Torabi Fard, Martyr Mustafa Chamran, Martyr Sayyed Razi Mousavi, Dariush Arjamand, maestro acter, veteran general Ali Fazli, deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), and Hoda Fahmi Zaar, a renowned Gaza figure, whose steadfast words on resistance resonated widely, who tragically lost 28 family members in the Israeli attacks in Gaza.
