Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran Department of Environment said on Sunday evening that fifty countries would be present in an international meeting on environment due to be held on August 23-24.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Salajagheh noted the meeting would be held at the ministerial level.

Speaking at the meeting attended by environment ambassadors, which was held on the occasion of the Environment Week in Tehran on Sunday evening, Salajagheh once again emphasized the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying: "The priority of the current government of Iran is to establish strong relations with neighboring and Muslim countries."

He added: "We believe that environment-related issues as the main commonalities of human society can bring all ideas and civilizations together to solve problems."

The Head of Iran Department of Environment stressed: "We should all be together and think of an effective solution."

Referring to the previous year's meeting, which was held with the active presence of ambassadors and representatives of international organizations, he added: "During last year's meeting, we had important achievements, and today, when we came together with the Persian Gulf and West Asian countries, we showed that all Political, economic and military issues can be solved this way."
