Iran Press/Iran news: The Secretary of the International Teacher Prize Mohammad Azin told reporters in a press conference that the prize could be received by teachers from any part of the world and there was no limitation to the number of candidates for the award.
Azin pointed to innovation in teaching methods, influence on students, constant communication with the local community, and personality characteristics of teachers are among the criteria based on which the works sent will be evaluated for prize.
International Teacher Prize is an award of public benefit the fund of which is provided out of popular aid and charities. November 5 to 20 was announced as the deadline for the participants to send their works to the event.
As the secretary of the event said so far about 8,000 teachers have registered in the contest.
Last year 18 countries participated in the event. 12,400 teachers were nominated for the prize, 177 were selected for interview and evaluation, and 37 were finalized as top teachers.
