Tehran (IP)- The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with Qatar's deputy FM, stressed that the development of comprehensive cooperation with neighboring countries is Iran's main priority in foreign relations, and we do not believe in any restrictions in this field.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi", Qatar's deputy FM, who has traveled to Tehran, and "Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani", the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, discussed bilateral and regional relations with him. 

Shamkhani said in the meeting: "By removal of the existing obstacles, the level of trade and commercial cooperation, as well as joint activities in the field of implementing infrastructure projects, should be improved in accordance with the political interactions of the two countries."

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council added: "We appreciate the effective efforts of the Emir and the government of Qatar and the cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of advancing regional and international cases, the fraternal and constructive relations between Tehran and Doha can be used as a model that can be generalized in relations with other countries in the region. "

Shamkhani pointed out that some trans-regional countries seek to create misunderstandings in the relations between Iran and Qatar by abusing suspicious events, and it is necessary for the two countries to deal with this process with full vigilance.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar also expressed his satisfaction with the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia for the normalization of relations, calling this step an important one in increasing stability and security in the region.

He further considered the development of comprehensive relations with Iran among the priorities of Qatar's foreign policy.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar emphasized: Increasing the volume of commercial cooperation and speeding up the implementation of infrastructure projects is one of the main axes that should become the driving force of Tehran-Doha economic relations with the joint efforts of the two countries."
