Damascus (IP) - Iran's economic delegation and Syrian authorities emphasized the expansion of economic cooperation and the activities of private companies in Iran and Syria.

Samer Al-Khalil, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of Syria, said that joint investment projects are an important opportunity to realize the common interests of the two countries and a ground to encourage Syrian companies to cooperate with Iranian companies that have scientific and practical experience and excellent facilities and capabilities.

Abdul Qadir Jokhdar, the Minister of Industries of Syria, also said that the joint projects discussed in this meeting are related to the production of tires, tractors, and milk powder, which was previously discussed by Syrian Prime Minister Hossein Arnous during his trip to Tehran in this regard with Iranian officials.
