Iran Press/ Asia: The Taliban’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced the members of the new government and various ministers on Tuesday.
The Taliban has begun to fill government positions following its successful conquest of Afghanistan.
Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, a co-founder and head of the Taliban’s leadership council, was named acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan on Tuesday, with other senior Taliban leaders approving his nomination.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar was named Deputy Prime Minister, according to a Taliban spokesman.
According to Mujahid, Sarrajuddin Haqqani will be acting interior minister, Mullah Yaqoob will be acting defense minister, and Abas Stanikzai will be acting deputy foreign minister.

Mullah Din Mohammad Hanif - acting Economic Minister
Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Shari - acting Minister of Justice
Noorullah Noori - acting Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs
Mullah Younes Akhundzadeh - acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development
Mullah Mohammad Isa Akhund - acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum
Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour - acting Minister of Energy and Water
Mullah Abdul Baqi Haqqani - acting Minister of Higher Education
Najibullah Haqqani - acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology
Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani - acting Minister of Refugees and repatriation
Abdul Haq Wasiq - acting Director of National Directorate of Security
Mujahid reiterated the cabinet was an “acting” government and that the group will “try to take people from other parts of the country.”
On Monday, the Taliban claimed victory in the northeastern Panjshir province — the last Afghan region still holding out against their rule. However, the anti-Taliban forces in Panjshir said the fighting was still ongoing.
