Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iranian Press TV news channel, Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi warned that “We cannot exclude any measure. We have so far talked about different measures. It could be leaving the (nuclear) deal (and) it could be other actions as to the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty) or any other things; It is for the senior officials of the country to decide."
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will take drastic and major steps to realize the right of the Iranian nation," he said, adding that "Iran waited for a year to see what Europeans are going to do, they have given promises, they have taken good positions, but their promises about SPV and INSTEX have not been fulfilled.”

He emphasized that the Europeans are more rational than Americans but they have realized that Washington’s unilateral sanctions against Iran are also detrimental to their interests and would even damage the political and economic stability of the world, continuing that a global front is being formed against the US unilateralism.
Kamalvandi also stated that Iran would not continue to voluntary implement its commitments unless the Europeans “change the course and do their part.”
“We are waiting for practical steps by Europeans and after 60 days, we will decide whether or not to end other voluntary commitments,” the nuclear official pointed out.
"Raising enrichment level from defined 3.67 percent in JCPOA to 20 percent or any intended one will not take more than four days for Iran," he mentioned.
Iran said it would suspend restrictions on storing enriched uranium and heavy water as European members of the other JCPOA countries were not keeping their promises to protect its banking and oil sectors from US sanctions. It gave the countries a 60-day deadline to fulfill their promises and save the nuclear pact.
On the anniversary of the unilateral and unlawful US withdrawal from the landmark nuclear deal known as the JCPOA on May 8 2019, Iran announced it would stop some commitments under the deal and gave 60 days to the remaining signatories to the JCPOA to fulfill their previously made promises with regard to oil and banking sectors.
Under the JCPOA, reached in July 2015 between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries, the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany, Iran undertook to put limits on its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of nuclear-related sanctions. 212/103
