Tehran (IP) - According to the order of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the new ambassador of Sweden will not be allowed to return to Iran until the government of this country takes serious measures to deal with the continuous desecration of Islamic sanctities, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.

Iran PressIran news: "The Swedish ambassador's mission in Tehran has ended, and by the order of President Raisi, until the Swedish government takes serious action against the desecration of Islamic sanctities, the new ambassador of this country cannot enter Iran, and the new ambassador of Iran will not be sent to this country either, " Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a televised interview with IRIB said.

Stating that this decision has been announced to the Swedish government, Amir- Abdollahian added:" Some Islamic countries had good reactions and in continuous contact with Islamic countries, a unified and coherent approach will be taken to counter this movement and preserve the reverence and sanctity of the Quran."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: "In the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden's telephone call, it was emphasized that issuing a statement is not enough and the violator should be arrested and tried."

In response to the phone call of "Tobias Billström", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Amir Abdollahian emphasized: "Desecration of the Holy Quran and other sacred books of divine religions anywhere, by any person and under any circumstances is strongly condemned and repetition of these actions under the pretext of freedom of expression is unacceptable and unjustifiable."

An extremist named Selvan Momika, who insulted the Holy Quran in Sweden on June 28 in Stockholm, insulted the Holy Quran for the second time on Thursday (July 20), with permission granted by the Swedish police, which caused a wave of anger and disgust and reactions to this action against the Swedish government among Islamic countries.
