Iran Press/America: A tear gas grenade set off during a university assembly in Bolivia triggered a stampede that left four students dead and 70 injured on Monday, CGTN reported. 

Hundreds of students had gathered to elect new student body leaders, according to university rector Pedro López. 

Police said the stampede began when someone detonated a tear gas canister as two groups of students argued.
