Iran Press/ Iran News: The ceremony for the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Iran's late ambassador to Yemen, Hasan Irlou, was held today in Tehran with the presence of the army and political figures.
At the beginning of this meeting, the message of Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was read in praise of Hassan Irlou, Iran's late ambassador to Yemen.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, also delivered his speech.
"Yemen was one of the centers of the conspiracy of the colonial system against the great axis of resistance and the Islamic world," the spokesman said.
"The ambassador recognized the importance of the field and bravely chose to walk on the path, which was a path of no return and the path of martyrdom," Kanaani noted, adding: "He stepped on a path that was a vast minefield to break the all-round siege of Yemen and did great services."
"He played a lasting role in the fight against terrorism in Yemen and revealed the false face of international human rights violators. He was the ambassador of peace and diplomacy, the path of Jihad, and philanthropy," Nasser Kanaani highlighted.
