Seoul (IP): The President of South Korea sent a message to the Iranian President-elect Ebrahim Raisi, expressing hope for his success.

Iran PressAsia: The South Korean embassy in Iran announced that South Korean President Moon Jae-in had sent a message to Ebrahim Raisi congratulating him on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Moon Jae-in emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran would overcome the coronavirus crisis and move forward on the path of economic development and prosperity.

He also expressed hope that the two countries would continue the friendly relations. 

On June 18, Iran's thirteenth presidential election was held with the enthusiastic turnout of people all over Iran and also in 133 countries. In this election, Ebrahim Raisi was elected as the eighth president of Iran with more than 18 million votes.
