(IP) – The Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia donated five books about Serbian culture and social history to the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI).

Iran Press: Vladimir Orlic , Speaker of the Parliament of Serbia, and the accompanying delegation visited the treasures and resources in the National Library and Archives of Iran. 

He donated a copy of Serbia's first constitution from the 19th century, which served as the foundation for the Serbian constitution, to the National Library and Archives of Iran.

Vladimir Orlic  also donated a book on the history of the Parliament of Serbia from its foundation to the present day, a book on the history of the Kosovo Church, and a book on the cultural heritage of Serbia.

Alireza Mokhtarpour, Head of the National Documents and Library Organization of Iran, welcomed Vladimir Orlic , stressing the expansion of the cultural activities of the two countries and the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the National Libraries of the two countries.

The Head of Iran's National Library and Documents and Library Organization presented an exquisite copy of The Divān of Hafez, a collection of poems written by the Iranian poet Hafez, to Orlic in return.

Vladimir Orlic , The Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, arrived in Tehran on Saturday evening at the head of a parliamentary delegation to talk with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
