Iran Press/ Iran News: Nowruz is the Iranians' ancient spring holiday that dates back to more than 3,000 years ago.
The ceremony was held in Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan province, northwestern Iran on Mar.16, 2022.
The Nowruz celebration caravan started its magnificent journey on Monday and paraded to Sanandaj today, passing through Hamedan and Kermanshah.
The journey began under an initiative "Tourism route of Iranian history and civilization on Nowruz World" ceremony that aims to introduce Iran's sightseeing and attractive sights.
Sanandaj's Kurdish Daf players in a group of 200 along with local-traditional dancers welcomed Iranian New Year.
Daf is one of the most popular Iranian musical instruments which has become very popular among Iranian. It is made up of a circular wooden frame with metal ringlets around it. A thin animal skin which is usually of a cow, goat, or horse is glued on the frame to keep the frame tightly. 219
