Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone conversation with the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, Iranian President expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Italy who have lost their loved ones due to the contagious Coronavirus, saying, "In these difficult circumstances, US pressure on the Iranian people is more inhumane than any time and its continuation is a brutal crime against the great nation and is against all human principles and international regulations."
Rouhani further noted, "Unfortunately, the financial mechanism designed by Europe (INSTEX) has not yet been effective."
Referring to the importance of security and stability in the West Asian region, the Iranian president said, "The stability and security of the region will be achieved only through cooperation between the countries of the region and foreign interference, especially US intervention, threatens the region's peace."
For his part, the Italian Prime Minister expressed sympathy with the government and people of Iran, saying, "Tehran's problems are well understood and Italy welcomes the exchange of common experiences between the two countries against the coronavirus."
The Italian Prime Minister also stressed the need to expand and deepen bilateral relations, saying that Italy is ready to cooperate with Iran on JCPOA and strengthen the EU's financial mechanism and the serious participation of countries in this regard.
