Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday, referring to the government's plans to counter the US economic war, added: "Although inhumane and illegal US sanctions have reduced the country's foreign exchange earnings, more than 2.5 years after the sanctions, the government, by its plans, has prevented the US from achieving its sinister goal of disintegrating the country."
Emphasizing the need to maintain political calm and the need for cohesion in the country, Rouhani said: "One of the pillars on which the enemies have invested especially, in addition to the intense economic war as a reinforcer of sanctions, is internal strife."
Rouhani stated that the government considers the private sector as the driving force of the country's economy, said that comprehensive support for increasing the role of the private sector in the economy and the transfer of production and exports, especially knowledge-based companies, will have an important place in the government's economic policies.
