Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the cabinet session on Sunday, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani referred to the election of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei after the demise of Imam Khomeini, saying "In less than 24 hours, with the election of the Leader, the dream of the enemies did not come true."
The President stated: "In the uprising of June 4, 1963, the people made a great sacrifice that led to the safeguarding of the path of the Revolution and the life of our dear and noble Imam (Imam Khamenei), who took over the leadership."
Rouhani added: "We honor the memory of late great Imam and we also remember the very important decision taken by the Assembly of Experts on the 14th of Khordad and in the fastest possible time with the remarks and guidance of Imam Khomeini, the right successor and true successor being appointed."
Rouhani said: "with the disturbing dream (nightmare) our enemies predicted that after the passing away of the Imam and they thought that in the country after his loss here will be neither security nor unity, nor the Assembly of Experts would be able to determine the next leader for weeks. It did not come true, and it was God's providence that was revealed on the 14th of Khordad who is the leader of the Islamic system."
He added: "Praise be to God, we see that under this educated leadership, our nation and country have been protected against all kinds of conspiracies."
Rouhani: 100 days after Corona outbreak, the condition is acceptable
Elsewhere Rouhani referred to Iran's anti-COVID-19 campaign saying that "We went through a hundred days against Corona, and that was very important. It was a difficult situation for our people in countries that were facing it despite economic and medical advances."
"Today, after 100 days of resistance to this dangerous virus, we are witnessing acceptable conditions. I don't even think our situation is fragile', added Rouhani.
If the achievements of the medical staff continue, the difficult conditions in some provinces will be eliminated. Scientific statistics also show a decrease in the number of inpatients and the death toll and an increase in the number of recovered, with Iran having a good record in the fight against corona.
Rouhani expressed hope that in the coming months, with the help of the people, Iran will be able to have a good time and achieve a reassuring point every day.
"During these hundred days, the whole world was facing many difficulties in running the country and the economy. Our reserves of basic commodities and the provision of foreign exchange for basic commodities are better than ever.", highlighted Rouhani.
Finally, Rouhani described the government's goals as achieving e-government, as well as the supply of shares on the stock exchange by the cabinet.
