Iran Press/West Asia: According to a report by the Palestinian news agency "Sama," citing the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, the amount of reverse immigration in the occupied territories has risen in 2024. The number of people who left the occupied land last year was higher than those who entered it.
Based on the data from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, in 2024, more than 82,700 Israeli settlers left the occupied Palestinian territories, while only 23,800 returned. This figure shows a decrease of 15,000 people compared to 2023.
Earlier, various media outlets had reported on the rise in reverse immigration of Israelis from the occupied territories and the departure of investors from the real estate market in the region.
The "Globes" website reported that major investors in the real estate sector of the occupied territories are leaving the area.
Globes added that investors who made large-scale purchases in the housing sector of the occupied territories are now withdrawing from the market.
The Hebrew newspaper "Jerusalem Post" also noted that Israel is facing an unprecedented wave of reverse immigration, with statistics showing unprecedented levels.
In parallel with the Al-Aqsa Storm operation conducted by Palestinian resistance groups, the occupied territories have witnessed an increase in "reverse immigration" of Israelis, with Israeli media repeatedly reporting on the large number of Israelis who have left the occupied territories since the start of the Gaza war.
Over a year since the Al-Aqsa Storm operation and the capture of several Israelis by Palestinian resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip, Israel has failed to free the detainees despite its extensive assault on the region. In fact, many of them have been killed in Israeli airstrikes and artillery attacks on various areas of Gaza.
Benjamin Netanyahu's opposition to a ceasefire in Gaza has prevented the possibility of reaching an agreement for the release of Israeli detainees in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. This has led to widespread protests from the families of these detainees in the occupied territories.
