Bazargan custom was established in 1305 (1926) and is the only international Iran-Turkey border, open 24 hours a day.
Iran has three official borders with Turkey, including Bazargan-Maku, Sarv-Urmia, and Razi-Khoi which are located in West Azerbaijan. Sarv has also been completely closed after the coronavirus outbreak, but Iran-Turkey limited rail traffic has been carried out along the Razi border.
