Iran Press/ Iran news: In a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called the development of cooperation and parliamentary relations between Iran and Russia as "important", adding: "Iran and Russia have had good cooperation in parliamentary level and had a constructive role in regional issues, especially in the fight against terrorism."
Referring to the will of Iranian and Russian leaders which is based on the all-out developing and strengthening bilateral ties, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian added that: "Multilateral, regional and international cooperation between Iran and Russia will lead to the development of stability and security in the region."
Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan, for his part, termed the parliamentary relations between the two countries of Iran and Russia "positive" and added: "Strategic objectives of Moscow include the need to strengthen bilateral relations in the parliamentary field.
He also called for the expansion of cooperation at various levels with Iran.
The two sides also discussed parliamentary, regional, and international considerations, as well as the latest developments in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Afghanistan.
