Iran Press/ Asia: Hassan Kazemi took part in the meeting of special representatives of Afghanistan's neighboring countries held in Tashkent on Tuesday in order to review the current challenges in Afghanistan and the cooperation of the parties to solve them.
With regard to the meeting, Kazemi wrote in a tweet on Wednesday that the meeting held in Tashkent showed that political, social, and security developments in Afghanistan were important for the region.
Kazemi said that the basic solution to solve Afghanistan's challenges lies in deepening regional cooperation, and stressed that searching for a solution outside the region would not help the current situation.
He noted that the Taliban interim government's catching up with the neighboring and regional countries was the best way to overcome the problems, adding that the interim government's move towards forming an inclusive government and protecting women's rights would be welcomed by the region's countries.
Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in August 2022, the country has faced a dire economic situation due to the international community's lack of tendency to recognize the group and cooperate with it.
The Afghan people's living conditions are worsened; the import of basic items such as wheat has been hindered and led to their paucity and high price in the markets of the country.
