Tehran (IP) - Iran's President says the Islamic Revolution is not just a mere occasion being commemorated, but a discourse emerged in the world by its two leaders.

Iran PressIran news: Delivering a speech on the occasion of the 45th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Ebrahim Raisi told people that the discourse has a message and that is the freedom and independence of the nations of the world against the arrogant powers.

Raisi said what the world is witnessing in Iran today is that the Islamic Revolution is commemorated not just as a historical event but rather as an emerging discourse in the world, the flag bearers of which are the late Imam Khomeini and now Ayatollah Khamenei.

He recalled that the enemies of Iran improvised numerous problems for Iran but thanks to its vigilant people, the country has always overcome the obstacles.

Despite the enemies' attempts, the Islamic Republic of Iran went forward to accomplish more in freedom and independence and would recognize no obstacle in the path.

Raisi called Iran the most independent country in the world with its message 'Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic', and noted that today the Islamic Revolution declares in its 45 that it would receive orders from neither the East nor the West.

He said Iran is independent for it recognizes what is due and enjoys the power to act on its own, and that those days passed when the world's powers made decisions in place of the Iranian nation.

President Raisi also said Iran is free because the freedom of speech and thought is institutionalized in it and today a vast scope of the media and critical voices are present in the Iranian society.

Still, he highlighted the people and their votes to determine the fate of the country as the Republicanism in post-Revolution Iran, pointing out that the Islamic Republic is honored that it has held elections almost every year during the 45 years.

He said that the Islamic Republic respects the people and their votes, contrary to the Western advocates of democracy that respect neither the rights of the Palestinian and Yemeni nations to vote nor even for their people.

Iran's President pointed to the progress of the country after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, including science and technology, and highlighted the lesson taught to the Iranian nation by Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution that "We can," promising significant steps more advancements of Iran.
