Iran Press/Iran news: "People's support from Palestine is based on each person's ideas, Islamic beliefs, and Islamic faith," Mohammad Bathaei said.
He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Friday in International Quds Day in Tehran.
"People's participation in International Quds Day despite all their difficulties and problems means that people feel they have a religious duty, a responsibility to support Palestine and the Palestinian people," Iranian Minister of Education added.
"The bullies and oppressors cannot understand this logic. People despite their difficulties, perform their daily prayers and fasting, and worship God, supporting the oppressed is also a religious (Islamic) duty," Bathaei noted.
"People have participated in International Quds Day demonstrations and rallies not because they feel duty-bound, as far as they are concerned it is their religious duty to back the oppressed Palestinians," he said.
"Those who are not familiar with our Islamic culture can't understand this point. Their fiery and misguided speeches are also the result of this, and unless they gain an understanding of our culture, they will not be able to solve the challenges that they themselves have created," Bathaei added. 101/211/201
