Iran Press/ Iran News: During a meeting with the Mayor of Qom, Morteza Saghaeenejad, UNDP agent in Iran Kolodia Provides considered supporting research programs of the municipality one of the most important goals of the United Nation.
Provides said: "UNDP is able to support and take part in areas related to research, environment and population."
The Mayor of Qom for his part highlighted the municipality's readiness to cooperate with the UN in various fields of environment, waste, transportation, and firefighting.
UNDP in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with different organizations in Iran, including municipalities, for sustainable development in various areas such as urban issues.
Qom municipality is also cooperating with UNDP in order to use technical and educational help.
